  • 1 large ripe mango, peel and sliced lengthwise
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar or white

  • For the cake
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (plain flour)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup plain yogurt at room temperature
  • 125 g soft butter
  • 1 tsp soda bicarbonate (baking soda)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
