  • 2 Tablespoons cumin
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon unrefined salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/2 Pound dry black beans (healthy preparation method here) or 2 cans black beans
  • 1/2 Cup homemade chicken stock or water
  • 2 Pounds beef sirloin, cut into bite sized pieces or sliced into strips

  • 1/4 Cup homemade beef broth
  • 1/2 Cup chopped onion
  • 2 Green bell peppers, diced
  • 1 Can organic stewed tomatoes, with liquid (we try to buy our cans organic – Costco often has great prices)

  • 1 1/4 Teaspoons cumin
  • 1/4 Teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 Cup chili powder
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon unrefined salt

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 2 Pounds beef flank steak
  • 1 Cup homemade beef broth
