Ingredients

  • 1 Cup soaked and boiled chickpeas with salt and turmeric powder (kabuli chana)
  • 2 Cups long grained rice soaked for 15 mins.
  • 2 tbsp Mixed pickle (blend in a mixer, except lime skin)
  • 1/2 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/4 th Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 th Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp onion seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Sahi garam masala (dry roast and grind - cinnamon stick,green cardamoms,long, black pepper,nutmeg,javitri,sahi jeera,coriander seeds)
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Refined oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
