FROST between layers, on sides and top of cakewithCreamCheeseFrosting. For the cake I know that a lot of people do not like nuts in there food ( I being one of them lol) so I did not add any to the mix I only added them to the outside of the frosting so for the people that did not want them could scrape them out and there would be no problem
These are basically the same thickness of cake, so you can call it pumpkin cake if you'd like. I created this recipe to be a thicker bar than my banana bars because I received several comments of people saying they'd like a thicker bar

Spread frosting over top of cooled cake. Cake. Using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat creamcheese and butter in a medium bowl just to combine
Cake. It goes really well with the pumpkin. I had planned on a creamcheesefrosting. I wanted to add a frosting this time and a loaf would be better suited for this finish
Ours turned out more like a cake than bars. Once bars have cooled, spread frosting over the top. This past weekend we visited some friends and she made some tasty pumpkin bars

Other than to remind you not to overbeat the cake, I have no cautions to share with you. Next time, I'll cut the ingredients for the icing in half, secure in the knowledge that half a recipe will provide more than enough frosting for the cake
