  • 2 Red apples
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 3/4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Caster Sugar
  • for the cake
  • 4 large Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 165 g Almond meal/ground almond
  • 120 g Caster sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp Lemon juice
  • flaked almonds for topping
