Spiced Apple and Almond Cake with Vanilla CreamCheese Icing Recipe adapted from here Ingredients. I decided to go with an apple dessert, it is Fall after all
Apple Carrot Cake Oatmeal with Broiled Coconut, CreamCheese Frosting, and Candied Carrots. Baked carrot cake oatmeal, with moist apple shavings and a few crunchy chunks for texture, topped with a creamy frosting
The cakes will be quite tender and delicate. hardy, woody carrots, soft and wrinkled apples. Add the creamcheese, one chunk at a time, and whip until fully incorporated
Turn out the cakes on to a cooling rack to cool completely. The sweet potato, which I have to admit is a welcome change from everything pumpkin, becomes even sweeter with touches of apple and maple syrup
This is one of the cakes that we packed for the Regatta picnic. In large bowl, beat butter, creamcheese, juice and zest with electric mixer until light and fluffy
The weekend after Christmas, our last long weekend of the winter, we took down the tree and all the Christmas decorations, except for the outside lights on the balcony, cleaned and caught up on laundry, baked cupcakes for a NYE party at a friend's house, slept in later than usual, did the grocery shopping and some post-Christmas errands, and in between all of that spent as many hours as possible on the couch, watching hour after hour of Entourage
*** Only do this with cakes using baking soda or powder not egg foam cakes like angel food. I love the combination of lemon and blueberry, and the white chocolate and creamcheese complement it perfectly
With a perfectly light and tender cake crumb, this delicious made from scratch chocolate cake is finished with a scrumptious vanilla creamcheese frosting
The white cake base it’s becoming my go-to base for different layer cakes. For the frosting I used both butter and creamcheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract plus a cupful of mini M&M’S
Allow cakes to cool completely before icing. Once cooled, cream together browned butter, regular butter, creamcheese, vanilla extract, and salt with a beater until smooth
Allow cakes to cool fully after baking before frosting and serving. It’s so airy and light, a classic creamcheese icing flavor whipped with heavy cream until it’s light and fluffy… it will literally melt in your mouth
