Ingredients

  • 1 5 pound pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 6-8 garlic cloves smashed
  • 1 tbs grated fresh ginger
  • ½ cup Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbs sesame oil
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar (not seasoned)
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • 3 tbs honey
  • 1 tbs garlic chili paste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Chinese Five Spice powder
  • olive oil
  • 1 bag cole slaw mix
  • 1 red pepper, chopped small
  • ½ bunch green onions, chopped small
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped fine
  • ½ jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbs hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
