Ingredients

  • 1 cm” cookies or 30 “2 cm” cookies)
  • 1 ½ cup cake flour
  • ½ cup lukewarm milk
  • 1 stick (100 gm) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • Pinch of salt
  •  
  • For the filling
  • 1 cup walnuts finely chopped
  • Few strands of saffron soaked in 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom (or more according to preference)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon orange blossom water
  • Powdered sugar for coating
  • Vegetable oil for frying if you choose to fry them
