  • For the pudding
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups sliced ripe bananas, sliced about 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 box Vanilla Wafers
  •  
  • For the Meringue
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
