  • 2 bags (9 oz each) beefless Gardein Homestyle Beefless Tips (I cut each peice in half)
  • 2 Tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 Tablespoon butter (such as Earth Balance)
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 2-1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup good burgundy wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb (or package) sliced mushrooms
