Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups molasses
  • 2 cups kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated peeled ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 gallons ice water
  • 4 chicken quarters
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 hours A plastic bucket that is deep enough to have the meat completely covered will also work
  • 3 1/2 hours or
