Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour | 1 Tasse Mehl
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar | 3/4 Tasse Zucker
  • 2 eggs | 2 Eier
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil | 1/2 Tasse Pflanzenöl
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (walnuts are delicious as well) | 1/2 Tasse gemahlene Hasel- oder Walnüsse
  • 2 cups (about 250-275 g) shredded carrots (I use freshly shredded) | 2 Tassen frisch geraspeöte Karotten (etwa 250-270 g)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda | 1 TL Natron
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder | 1/2 TL Backpulver
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon | 1 1/2 TL gemahlener Zimt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger (freshly shredded or powder) | 1/2 TL Ingwer (frisch oder gemahlen)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg | 1/4 TL frisch gemahlenes Muskat
