  • 1 cup Channa boiled
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 1 big Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • a pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Channa masala powder
  • To Grind
  • 2 tbsp coconut
  • 1 tbsp fried gram
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • few coriander leaves


    Soak the Channa overnight and boil it with a pinch of salt and water in pressure cooker. Take a pan and pour some oil and add mustard, green chillies,onion,little salt and fry for sometime till it gets translucent. add Ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off. Then add the Tomatoes and all spice powders till it gets mashy. add the boiled channa into it. keep few Channa to use at last. add the grinded ingredients and check for salt. add some water and make it to boil for sometime. Mix it well when the gravy gets thick. Then grind the Channa kept aside. add it into the gravy. mix well and add some coriander leaves. Serve hot with Chapathi
