Cheese and Bacon Scones

  • 3 cups flour
  • 16 tsp baking powder
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 175 g cold butter, cut into small cubes
  • 11½ cups milk, plus more for brushing
  • 11 cup grated sharp cheddar or tasty cheese
  • 16 pcs streaky bacon, choppedSift together flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
  • 1 Using your fingers knead together flour, butter, cheese and bacon, add milk few drops at a time then knead until dough is mixed well.
  • 1 Flatten the dough until it’s around 1 inch in thickness. Cut into 12 round pieces then place on a baking paper lined baking tray.
  • 1 Brush tops with milk then bake in a 200C pre heated oven for 20 minutes or until it turns light golden brown. Remove from oven then serve while hot.
