My first attempt at ChickenTikkaMasala was…. As in “This chicken is long gone and I’m still thinking about and missing it like it’s an old friend” successful
I had mentioned that I had been in the mood for some spicy Indian food and so Adrianne came across this recipe for ChickenTikkaMasala by Aarti Sequeira
Whisk together marinade ingredients, and toss in chicken. As it turns out, I didn’t need any special equipment to make some really killer tikkamasala in the comfort of my own home kitchen, and only one spice purchase out of the ordinary gave me everything I needed

Save Recipe Print Ingredients 1 (2 1/2") piece ginger, peeled 4 garlic cloves, peeled 1/2 medium yellow onion 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" cubes 2 tsp. garam masala 2 Tbsp. Toss chicken with 1 1/2 tsp. Add chicken and cook, tossing occasionally, until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. garam masala and cook, stirring constantly, about 30 seconds. Return chicken to pan, add peas, and cook, stirring occasionally, until warmed through, about 1 minute more. 1/2 medium yellow onion 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" cubes 2 tsp sea salt 3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper 2 1/2 tsp garam masala 2 Tbsp
not gonna write more about chickentikka since we had a blog post of it. a chicken. The same recipe can be followed to make Paneer TikkaMasala using fresh Paneer Cubes
Chris ordered the chickentikkamasala and I had a green curry with shrimp. Both were fresh and fantastic, but Chris did note that while he enjoyed his dish, he liked my chickentikka better because it was creamier
Add the ginger and garlic paste into the chicken along with garam masala powder,black pepper powder,coriander powder, jeera powder, red chilli powder, salt, mustard oil and curd
