Ingredients

  • 2-3 green onions, stalks only
  • ¼ white onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium half chicken breast
  • Water (Enough to cook the chicken)
  • 2 large russet potatoes, peeled cut into cubes
  • Water (Enough to cook the potatoes)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 ½ cups (1,06 liter) hot water
  • 1 chicken bouillon (Optional)
  • 1½-2 tsp food coloring (Triguisar, Sazón Goya or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 cups (600 g) pre-cooked cornmeal (To make arepas)
