  • 8 ounces fresh carrots, roll cut
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 bunch scallions, thinly sliced (garnish)
  • Steamed long grain rice
  • Sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (3 to 4)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar or 1 teaspoon Splenda brown sugar blend
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup minced green onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 plums (fresh skin on, chopped)
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (fresh ginger, peeled and sliced)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (or Splenda)
  • Club soda drink (12 ounces)
