I am going to bake a batch of typical Danish Christmas cookies this week and with see what else I can make – I’m thinking lots of marzipan, soft nougat and chocolate, very Danish and very yummy
Mix until they form a dough, but be careful not to overwork, add the chocolate andpomegranates. Place the flour, baking powder, lemon zest, sugar and butter into a bowl
1-Whisk oil and powder sugar in a bowl until a smooth texture. 2-Then add vanilla essence, milk and whisk a bit more. 3-Now add all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, coarsely chopped pistachiosand chocolate chips. 5-Place the whole dough on baking sheet and shape into approximate 6 cm wide and 20 cm long log. 7-Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at least 15-20 minutes. 9-Bake for 10 minutes and take out. Flip them and bake for 10 more minutes. 10-Remove from oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. 11-Serve these crunchy chocolate pistachiobiscotti as an accompaniment with tea / coffee
Stir in the pistachiosanddried cranberries. Italian Biscotti with Cranberries andPistachios. You can also dip one end in melted chocolate and then dip in chopped pistachios
For my first attempt, I used pistachios, dried cranberries and unsweetened cocoa powder. They are one of the largest varieties and, like other types, are dried before being eaten
For my smoothie bowl toppings, I used fresh blueberries, toasted pistachios, dark chocolate and broken pretzels ( kind of sweet and salty thing going on here), but you can always customize to your taste
When it's blended together, fold in the pistachios by hand. This is cookie season by God, and no matter what Holiday if any you celebrate, NO ONE is going to let you off their premises without stuffing you full of some sort of baked goods
The surprise part of this dessert, to me, are the caramelised cornflakes which give such a nice crunchy taste and the refreshing pomegranate granita giving a nice balance to the sweet mousse
If you'd like, substitute pomegranate seeds for the dried cranberries. Me and the kids love Brussels sprouts and I made them every Thanksgiving when they were young
