Ingredients

  • 2 packets of yeast (1/4 ounce each)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, room temperature
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted (plus more for rolling)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, cut into chunks and softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • Filling
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • Icing
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
