Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 2-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup of milk. Beat at low speed until blended; then beat at medium speed
