ham hock. garlic cloves, peeled and sliced. dried beans. 1 Sort beansand soak in enough water to cover overnight. 2 Or you may sort them and place in a saucepan with2-inches of water to cover. 3 Bring them to a boil, boil for 3 minutes, then cover and remove from heat. 5 Whichever method you use, rinse and drain the beans before placing them in the crockpot. 6 Put the rinsed beans, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, parsley, cloves, ham (chopped into large chunks) or ham hocks into the crockpot along with 6 cups water or broth. 7 Cover crock, and cook on low for about 8 hours, or until beans are tender and creamy. 1 lb dried great northern beans (mixed if desired) or 1 lb. 1 lb smoked ham or 1 lb
I make everything in it from Stews, Soups… Heck I’ve even made barbecue ribs in my crockpot. You won’t need a lot of ingredients, and you don’t have to worry about being in the kitchen all day, because again- we’re using our crockpot
If you have hamwith a bone in it, feel free to toss it in the souppot for added flavor. Make a big pot of this soupand freeze some in individual portions for lunch
