Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup warm water (105-115 deg. F)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk at room temperature
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 2 sticks (8 ounces) cold unsalted butter
  •  
  • Filling
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Extract
  • Mix together well, set aside.
  •  
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon or Vanilla Extract
  • Mix together until blended, this should be pourable, but not too thin.
