But if blood orange juice is not available, regular OJ is fine – the point is that I wanted these brownies to be reminiscent of those orange-chocolate chews we got trick ‘er treating as kids or the huge bar of “Intensely Orange” darkchocolate I spotted (then purchased and ate) recently at the store
Plus, I had egg whites needing to be used since I used a bunch of yolks only for orange curd. To make them a little more palatable, I dipped and drizzled them with a tiny bit of bittersweet chocolate and sprinkled them with a pinch of coarse seasalt
salt. We’re pairing that orange zest with darkchocolate chunks. I love the combination of chocolate and orange and it comes together so perfectly in these cookies
Since there's nothing that I could make for the two of them that had too much chocolate, I settled on a combination of darkchocolate cupcakes, filled with a raspberry sauce and topped with white chocolate ganache
