It is a combination of toor dal,chick pea,tomato along with other common ingredients. I brought this green chick pea from india and here only available garbanzo beans
1 cup Basmati rice2 cups red lentils1 large tomato1 tbsp ginger paste1 cup green peas1 tsp cumin tray1 bay leaf0. 5 tsp turmeric powder1 tsp ground cumin1 tsp garam masala spice1-2 green chilies (chopped)Oil for frying2 tbsp chopped coriander leavesSalt to tasteMethod. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, saute for 10 seconds, then add ginger, green chili, finely chopped tomatoes and saute everything for about 5 minutes. Cook everything for about 20 minutes, then add green peas and simmer for about 10 minutes. 1 cup green peas. 1-2 green chilies

Whole Urad dal with the skin is the main ingredient here and it's supposed to be very good for you. Dal Makhani, I know it's a favorite for many people, but I like Dal Tadka better than this, I found this always very creamy
Once they splutter, add green chillies and ginger garlic and fry till nice aroma comes. Finally, today, made some super yummy dal, that goes with anything and is a super hit everytime I made it for a small gathering or a party
