Ingredients

  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef brisket, trimmed
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 large baguette—cut into 4 pieces, split horizontally or
  • 4 mini baguettes
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese, optional
  • 6-8 hours on low or
  • 4-5 hours on high
