  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1½ tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp kashmir chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1½ Tbsp yoghurt – not too sour
  • 4 Tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp shahi jeera (caraway seeds)
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1 large onion, chopped finely
  • 3 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ cup tomato puree ( made by simply blending freshly chopped tomatoes without adding any water)
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 200 gms fresh methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)- stems discarded
  • 2 Tbsp yoghurt – not too sour
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp coriander leaves, chopped extra finely – I use the dried herb for this
  • 2 Tbsp pouring cream
