  • 1 cup frozen strawberries, slightly thawed ** ¼ cup simple syrup * ½ cup cold water ½ cup ice For the Lemonade: 2 lemons, juiced (discard seeds but keep the pulp) ¼ cup simple syrup 1 cup ice Instructions In a blender combine the strawberries, ¼ cup simple syrup, ½ cup cold water and ½ cup ice. Blend until smooth. The mixture will be thick enough to spoon into 2 glasses Rinse the blender carafe and add the lemon juice, lemon pulp, ¼ cup simple syrup and 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth and pour over the strawberry mixture in the glass. Garnish with lemon slices or strawberries if desired. Serve immediately Notes * Simple syrup is made by combining equal parts water and sugar. I used 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it starts to boil and all the sugar is dissolved. Cool and refrigerate until needed.** We used small strawberries that were halved then frozen. If your strawberries are large, you may want to increase to 1½ cups. All ingredients may be combined in one blender carafe if desired. 3.5.3208
