  • 2 lb (900 g) chicken gizzards
  • 8 baby carrots
  • 1/2 little onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup rice vinegar
  • 10 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup Chinese cooking wine
  • 1 cup sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 3 little chili peppers
  • 1 anise star
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Sichuan pepper
  • to taste table salt
