Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup {or liquid sweetener of your choice}
  • ½ cup apple butter {I used my homemade apple butter recipe}
  • ¾ cup mix of dried fruit {I used a mix of thompson raisins, golden raisins, dried cherries, dried currants, and cranberries} {See notes for variations}
  • zest and juice of ½ an orange
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup gluten-free flour mix {I recommend Pamela's Artisan Flour Blend}{or make your own by combining: ⅓ cup brown rice flour, ⅓ cup tapioca starch, 3 tbsp sweet rice flour, ¼ tsp guar gum}
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, room temperature {not hot or melted}
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup {or liquid sweetener of your choice}
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp ice water
