  • 6 small jars
  • 1 lb gooseberries
  • 8 oz onions
  • 1 pint wine vinegar
  • 1 lb soft brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 oz salt
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 17.8.11 My Love tested the chutney last night and the results were mixed
