Ingredients

  • 1 \2 cup shortening 1/4 teaspoon soda dissolved in 1 teapoon water
  • 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 2-1/2 cups flower
  • 1 teapoon nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon rose water

Instructions

    1. cream shortening add powdered sugar gradally, Add egg.
    2. sift dry ingredients,add to sugar mixture alternatively with cream and rose water.
    3. add dissolved soda.
    4. turn on lightly floured board and roll 1/4 inch thick.
    5.cut into shapes and spinkle with 2 tabespoons granulated sugar.
    6. bake in hot oven (450 degrees) for 15 minutes
