  • 1 cup water
  • 11/2 cup butter
  • 11 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 11 cup all-purpose flour
  • 13 eggs
  • 11/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 11/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 12 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 13/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 11 teaspoon coconut oilStep 1: In a saucepan on the stove, bring water to a boil and stir in sugar and butter.
  • 1 Step 2: Once melted, reduce heat to medium/low and fold in flour. Remove from heat.
  • 1 Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract.
  • 1 Step 4: Slowly fold a few eggs into the dough. Keep repeating until eggs are well combined into the dough. Let cool.
  • 1 Step 5: Place dough into a pastry bag with a star-shaped tip. (I'm actually using a Wilton decorator, pictured.) Pipe 6-inch long churros onto a parchment paper lined baking pan or a silicone mat.
  • 1 Step 6: Place tray into the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes. (This makes your dough less sticky and easier to work with.)
  • 1 Step 7: Place a single layer of churros, not touching each other, in the air fryer. Air fry for 10 minutes at 380 degrees.
  • 1 Step 8: Mix cinnamon and sugar together on a small plate.
  • 1 Step 9: Once churros are done cooking, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place them on a cookie cooling rack. Repeat the process until all churros are cooked.
  • 1 Step 10: To make the chocolate sauce, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in a glass bowl using the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Mix well and dip warm churros in the sauce to serve! This recipe makes about 26, six-inch churros.
