And you can replace the Buttermilk with “faux buttermilk” (curdling regular milk with lemon. 1/4 cup Black Pepper. 1 tsp Lemon Juice. Refrigerate for 2 hours - shake well and taste for any seasoning adjustments. I combine 6 ounces of 2% milk and 2 ounces of heavy cream with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
