Ingredients

  • 2 large jars
  • 1 L each
  •  
  • For the tuna floss
  • 2 x 425g canned tuna, must be in Spring water, NOT in oil or brine!
  • 160 g caster sugar
  • 1/3 cup light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce - use lesser if you like your floss to be lighter in colour
  • cooking oil spray
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves, optional but helps to reduce the fishy smell of the floss
  • 1 tsp ground chili powder or more if you like, optional
  • roasted white sesame seeds, optional
  • finely cut non-seasoned nori strips, optional
