  • 4-5 lb Whole Chicken
  • 1 tsp

  • 10 minutes
  • 15-20 minutes
  • 27 minutes
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil or Coconut Oil
  • 4-5 lb Whole Chicken Fresh (Not Frozen)
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1½ - 2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • In a small bowl combine the Paprika, Thyme, Pepper, Salt and Garlic Powder
  • Rub seasoning all over the Chicken until coated well.
  • Heat Oil in the Instant Pot on Saute and Cook Breast Side Down for 6-7 Minutes until browned.
  • Remove Chicken and add rack to the Instant Pot.
  • Flip the Chicken Over and place back in the instant pot, Slowly add Chicken Broth and Lemon Juice.
  • Lock the Instant Pot Lid in Place, Switch Valve to Seal and Cook on the Poultry Minutes and use the Natural Release Method for the pressure before opening.
  • Note: It will take about 10 minutes for the instant pot to come to pressure, then another 15-20 minutes for natural pressure release, so the total time is around an hour from start to finish even though the cook time is only 27 minutes.
