Karelas are supposed to be very good fordiabetics as long as you also make sure that you don’t add any sugar or jaggery to therecipewhich some people tend to do as Karelas are quitebitter so an acquired taste
The sourness from tamarind and sweetness from agave nectar, combinedwiththecrunchiness from the almond meal makes this a wonderful sidefor an Indian meal of brown rice and pippili rasam
