Instructions
Paprika’s en tomaten wassen en in stukjes snijden, uien snipperen en erbij doen (halve ui fijner snipperen en apart houden voor gehakt); alles in blender doen met 5 teentjes knoflook en zout en peper; alles blenden tot gladde saus. Saus in koekenpan al of niet met olie zachtjes laten koken, af en toe roeren. Koriander fijn snijden, helft in saus doen en mee laten pruttelen, de rest apart houden voor in gehakt.
In gehakt doen: ½ fijn gesnipperde ui, 1 teentje knoflook, klein beetje peper en zout, 1 theelepel gemberpoeder, 1 theelepel gemalen komijn, 1 theelepel zoete paprikapoeder, half bosje gehakte koriander.
Goed kneden, kleine balletjes draaien en in saus doen en roeren tot het vlees gaar is en de saus is ingekookt tot de gewenste consistentie. Proeven, en indien nodig verder op smaak brengen met peper en zout (of 2 runderbouillonblokjes); serveren met (Turks) brood en/of rijst.
I know it was primarily paprika - so that was a good starting place, or so I thought. I couldn't find anything that even came close to it - until I scrapped the whole idea of chicken, and just went looking for paprika based seasonings
