Vegetable oil 2 tsp. 1>Peel the bottlegourdand chop it finely. 2>Marinateprwanswithsalt & turmeric. 3>Heat oil in apanand lightly fry the prawnsandtake them out and put in a bowl. 4>In the same oil addbayleaf, green chili, cumin seeds and fry for a while. 5>Now add the chopped bottlegourd, turmeric & saltand cover it witha lid and simmer the stove. 6>After 20 min open the lid and check if the bottlegourd is cooked or not. 7>If It is cooked add chopped tomatoes, fried prawns & sugarand higher the flameand stir fry it. 8>When all the juice which came out from bottlegourd is evaporated off the stove and serve the lau chingri withsteamed rice
