Ingredients

  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup milk + 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar {or just use buttermilk}
  • For the Lemon Butter Glaze
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
