Mary's homemade refrigerator pickled dill pickles.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 1/4 cups of red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 Tb of salt
  • 4 sliced cucumbers
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 or 3 heads of fresh dill
  • 1 Tb dill seeds
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 Tb spoon mustard seed (optional)
  • 1 Tb coriander seeds (optional)

Instructions

    Combine 3 1/2 cups of water, 1 1/4 of vinegar, 1 Tb sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt.
    Bring to a boil, then cool down completely.
    While ingredients cool, slice the pickled dill pickles lengthwise.
    Add 3 cloves of garlic
    Add 2 or 3 heads of fresh dill.

    Layer cucumbers into a container
    combine red pepper flakes to taste ( optional )
    add Mustard seed to taste ( optional )
    add Coriander seeds to taste ( optional )

    Pour ingredients with the cucumber mixture of added flavors
    Store 3 days in refrigerator.
