Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons of instant coffee, dissolved in one cup of hot water (I just brewed some fresh coffee because I was sleepy and poured in a cup)
  • 3/4 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of canola oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of sea salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
