  • 2 cups wild violet blooms
  • 2 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups sugar (some recipes call for four or seven cups, but I can't imagine more than two unless you want a toothache)
  • 1 lemon, juiced (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 package liquid pectin
