Ingredients

  • OLE MOLE TURKEY CHILI {PRINT THIS RECIPE}
  • Yield: 6 quarts Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 pound chorizo
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium red onion, diced (you can use whatever type onions you have)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 heaping tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons roasted ground cumin
  • 3 heaping tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (4 ounces) fire roasted chiles
  • 2 cans (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (29 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (29 ounces) crushed tomatoes with their juice
  • 1 beer (12 ounces)
  • Sour cream to garnish
  • Shredded cheddar cheese to garnish
