Ingredients

  • Ingredients (makes 10 empanadas)
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels, thawed
  • 1/3 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 (14 oz) package frozen empanada dough (I used Goya brand), thawed
  • Oil for frying
