Place the peaches and lemon juice in a medium-size bowl, and toss to mix. With only two of us at home, it's often difficult to use up a full-size dessert
This second batch of individual cobblers that I later had Alex and another friend Daniel taste-test during the week used up the black raspberries in addition to the peaches we picked at the farm
Arrange peaches in a tight layer over brown sugar. Spoon over peaches and spread evenly. Spread peach slices between several layers of paper towels and let dry, gently pressing occasionally and replacing any soaked towels, 20 minutes. Meanwhile, pour melted butter over bottom of a 6-quart oval slow cooker
Add all ingredients to your slow cooker. Stir. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. **. Give it a good stir for about 5 minutes or until ingredients come together and thicken (be patient, this may take a few minutes)
Cooking away. I decided on PeachCobbler because no mad baking skills are involved. Anyway, while I’m complaining about the prospect of “S”, it’s still peach season
It was a perfect reminder that summer is right around the corner and to compliment our dinner I made an amazing, yet very easy, cobbler with our favourite fruits of the summer season – strawberries and peaches
We loved this peachcobbler- I made it twice in two weeks recently, with good fresh Italian peaches. Mix vanilla with buttermilk then pour buttermilk mixture into well in flour and stir with a spoon just until combined (don't over-mix, it should be lumpy)
