Ingredients

  • 2 (20 ounce) cans pineapple chunks, juice reserved
  • 11 cup white sugar
  • 13 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 11/4 pound butter, melted
  • 12 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 125 buttery round crackers, crumbled
  • 1 ✕ —Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter or grease one 2 quart casserole dish. In a mixing bowl, blend together 4 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice, sugar, flour and butter. Add pineapple and cheese; mix well and pour into casserole dish. Bake for 20 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), sprinkle top with cracker crumbs and bake for 20 more minutes.
