Ingredients

  • Porcupine Meatballs
  • 3/4 cup long grain white rice
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, mined
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 15 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 slices hearty white bread (I used hamburger buns instead)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 12 ounces bratwurst, casings removed
  • 12 ounces 90 percent lean ground beef
