Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage (buy the pre-shredded kind in a bag to save time and effort)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons white-wine vinegar, divided
  • 1/2 cup very finely shredded carrot (1 medium)
  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced scallions
  • 1/2 cup bottled tomato-based barbecue sauce (I used Wegmans Memphis Style BBQ sauce)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne (you can use 1/4 if you want some more kick)
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 4 kaiser or soft rolls, split and grilled
