Ingredients

  • 1 cup Prawns deveined but keep the shell
  • 1 1/2-2 cups gruel/kanji
  • 1 tomato 2 med Onions chopped
  • 4 to 5 green chillies
  • 5 to 6 garlic cloves
  • 1.5 inch ginger
  • a pinch of turmeric
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • handful of Coriander leaves
  • sprig of curry leaves
  • 250-300 gms Bottle gourd/dudhi/lauki
  • 4 to 5 small brinjals (i had not added in this recipe but normally we do add)
  • 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil/any oil.
  • salt to taste
