Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 - 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. tepid water (90F)
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 5 Tbsp. unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup puréed cooked pumpkin or butternut squash (you can cook the purée yourself or use pre-cooked from the can)
  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 1 cup raisins, dried cherries and pumpkin seeds
